The YouTube channel of “Behind The Scope, LLC” has been up and running since October 1, 2024. Thanks to all of you, we’ve hit 1200 subscribers!

Fred and I are excited to keep bringing you interviews and stories on YouTube to cherish memories, offer entertainment, and highlight the hard work of air traffic controllers. Our main aim is to shine a spotlight on retired controllers sharing their experiences with equipment and how they overcame challenges. Their contributions have paved the way for the system we have today. It’s so important to capture their stories as a tribute to their dedication and for future generations of air traffic controllers to learn from.

I’ll also be exploring how diversity has evolved within our workforce. As public servants, we understand that change often comes from crises or accidents, leading to necessary adjustments. For instance, the shift from the CAA to the FAA was sparked by a tragic aircraft collision over the Grand Canyon, emphasizing the importance of federal regulations for safer and more efficient airspace management in the United States.

This channel puts a human face on the individuals guiding a through the skies, showcasing the passion and professionalism of Air Traffic Control. Your continued support means the world to us. In the future, we have plans to travel to other states and share their stories too.
